Kenya Airways To Launch Services To Livingstone

African carrier Kenya Airways has revealed plans to begin flights to Livingstone from its base in Nairobi. The new destination joins Lusaka as the airline’s second point in Zambia, boosting its regional network as part of efforts to expand its footprint on the continent.

Beginning 2 June 2013, flight KQ 780 will depart Nairobi at 1225 hrs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Livingstone at 1435 hrs. The flight continues on its return leg at 1525 hrs, operating via Harare where it lands at 1640 hrs for a brief stopover before taking off again at 1730 hrs to land back at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 2130 hrs.

The schedule connects well with Nairobi’s morning arrivals and late evening departures from other points on the African continent and Europe. Operated by a 2-class Embraer E190 aircraft, the flights target leisure traffic to the tourism centre for the scenic Victoria Falls, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and the Zambezi River.
