New Integrated Resort Opens In Manila

The first of Manila’s 4 new integrated resorts has opened its doors to visitors, as the Philippines prepares to mount a challenge against Macau and Singapore for Asia’s lucrative gaming revenues. Part of the upcoming Entertainment City development zone along Manila Bay, the Solaire Resort & Casino commenced operations over the weekend, offering premier accommodation, exquisite dining, recreation and gaming facilities.

500 guestrooms, suites and villas are tastefully decorated and equipped with the latest amenities and facilities including King-sized beds, expansive marble bathrooms, flatscreen televisions, high-speed internet access, workdesk, minibar and coffee-/tea-maker. Discerning guests staying in the latter will also enjoy 24-hour butler service, a dedicated chef, in-suite spa facilities, home theatre system, putting green and private pool.

Catering to a variety of palates are the resort’s 4 signature restaurants. Strip Steakhouse offers the finest beef cuts accompanied by over 3,000 bottles of wine carefully selected for the restaurant, while Finestra’s handmade pastas, pizzas and homemade Italian favorites pair well with premium grappas and digestives. Asian specialties, ranging from Chinese roast meats to fresh sashimi, can be had at Red Lantern and Yakumi. For casual dining, visitors can head to Lucky Noodles or Fresh with its comfort food and delectable buffets, the 220-seat Food Court providing 6 unique dining experiences within 1 venue or Sunset Bar & Grill by the poolside and rounding up the evening with drinks at Eclipse or the Dragon Bar.

Solaire Resort & Casino features one of Manila’s largest ballrooms, capable of accommodating up to 1,000 guests for large-scale conferences or banquets for meeting planners. Resort-style pool facilities, a spacious spa and fitness centre offer wellness options to guests and delegates, while the 18,500-square meter gaming complex adds more than 1,200 slot machines and table games to keep guests entertained.

When completed, Entertainment City Philippines will boast 4 world-class integrated resorts to create a gaming and entertainment complex in the heart of Manila. Solaire Resort & Casino will be joined by the upcoming Belle Grande Manila Bay, Manila Bay Resorts and Malaysian conglomerate Genting’s Resorts World Bayshore.
