Now Open: Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral

Starwood heralds the arrival of its funky Aloft brand to Malaysia today with the opening of the new Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral steps away from the city’s main railway hub. Connected to the central business district and Kuala Lumpur International Airport by express rail link, the 482-room property opens in time for the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix weekend.

The smoke-free guestrooms incorporate the brand’s signature features, including the use of neutral colours and lighting, to create a bright and breezy feel. Each accommodation is furnished with the Aloft bed, a spacious bathroom with Bliss bath products, flatscreen television, complimentary high-speed internet access, cordless telephone, workstation, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

Dining at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is available at the all-day dining restaurant Nook, where guests can enjoy comfortable sit-down meals of international favorites and local specialties. Road warriors can grab a quick bite at the 24/7 re:fuel by Aloft self-service snack bar, while evenings are best spent socializing at the MAI bar and the W XYZ bar.

Business travellers and meeting planners will find their creative juices stimulated by the set-up options in the hotel’s Tactic meeting spaces. Spread over 1,601 square meters, each is outfitted with the latest audio-visual technology, modular conference tables and flexible furniture, with the Ballroom accommodating larger conferences or banquet celebrations. Recreation facilities comprise the Splash outdoor swimming pool, re:charge fitness center and the communal re:mix lounge.

Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral joins the Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur and Westin Kuala Lumpur as Starwood’s fourth property in the Malaysian capital. The company is set to introduce another 2 brands to the city, when the St. Regis Kuala Lumpur and W Kuala Lumpur open in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
