Flydubai Looks To Russia And Central Asia For Growth

Middle Eastern low cost carrier Flydubai is looking to Russia and Central Asia for growth, announcing an expansion of operations for the region. 6 new destinations will be introduced within this year, with the airline launching service to Mineralnye Vody in mid-April and Dniepropetrovsk, Krasnodar, Odessa, Rostov and Volgograd to follow from mid-September 2013.

 

Dubai – Mineralnye Vody

From 16 April 2013, flight FZ 977 will depart Dubai International Airport at 2330 hrs on Tuesdays and Fridays, arriving at Mineralnye Vody at 0310 hrs the next morning. The return flight, FZ 978, takes off from Mineralnye Vody Airport at 0410 hrs for a 0735 hrs arrival back in Dubai.

 

Dubai – Rostov

Flydubai will fly twice weekly to the Russian town of Rostov from 13 September 2013. Flight FZ 981 departs the emirate at 2310 hrs on Tuesdays and Fridays to arrive in Rostov at 0330 hrs the next day. The return flight, FZ 982, is scheduled to take off from Rostov-on-Don Airport at 0430 hrs and land back at Dubai International Airport at 0840 hrs.

 

Dubai – Volgograd

The industrial city of Volgograd will welcome Flydubai flights from 13 September 2013. Operating on Tuesdays and Fridays, flight FZ 975 departs Dubai at 2250 hrs and arrives in Volgograd at 0300 hrs the next morning. The aircraft returns to Dubai an hour later as flight FZ 976, where it lands back at Dubai International Airport at 0805 hrs.

 

Dubai – Dniepropetrovsk

Beginning 18 September 2013, Flydubai operates twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays to Dniepropetrovsk. Flight FZ 737 will depart Dubai at 1025 hrs, arriving in the Ukrainian city at 1410 hrs before returning as flight FZ 738 at 1515 hrs, landing back at Dubai International Airport at 2045 hrs.

 

Dubai – Krasnodar

Krasnodar will be served twice weekly from 20 September 2013, with flight FZ 983 taking off from Dubai at 2340 hrs every Tuesday and Friday to land in the Russian city at 0350 hrs the next day. Flight FZ 984 returns to Dubai at 0450 hrs, landing back at Dubai International Airport at 0845 hrs.

 

Dubai – Odessa

Launching on 20 September 2013 as well are services to Odessa. Flight FZ 723 departs Dubai International Airport at 1000 hrs, arriving at Odessa International Airport at 1355 hrs. The aircraft turns around to operate flight FZ 724, departing Odessa at 1455 hrs and landing back in Dubai at 2020 hrs.

 

Flydubai will utilize its 189-seat Boeing 737-800 jet, configured in a high-density, all-economy class layout, on the routes. The low cost carrier has built up a sizable network in Russia and Central Asia, currently serving Ashgabat, Baku, Bishkek, Donetsk, Kazan, Kharkiv, Kiev, Samara, Tbilisi, Ufa, Yekaterinburg and Yerevan from its hub in Dubai.
