IHG Opens New Southeast Asian Holiday Inns

InterContinental Hotels Group continues to grow its Holiday Inn brand with the opening of 2 new properties in Southeast Asia. Founded in 1952 by Kemmons Wilson, the brand adds the Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 and the Holiday Inn & Suites Makati to its global portfolio of over 1,200 hotels.

Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit 22

Set in an iconic glass tower in the heart of Bangkok’s business and entertainment hub, the new Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 offers fans of the brand another option when in the Thai capital city. Conveniently located near the BTS Skytrain and 30 minutes from Suvarnabhumi International Airport, it caters to both business and leisure travellers with its modern design and comfortable, relaxing ambiance.

Guests will find the contemporarily-designed guestrooms and suites familiar, with the signature Holiday Inn bed at the heart of it. Complemented by a refreshing rainforest shower, flatscreen television, complimentary internet access, spacious work area with ergonomic chair and universal electrical hub, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities, the hotel aims to have guests stay relaxed in their private space above the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

Dining at the hotel is offered at the all-day Zeta Cafe serving international buffet selections and Thai favorites, while Maya Authentic Indian & Bar combines the flavours of North India with spectacular urban views from its rooftop perch. Rounding up the trio is Lounge 9, perfect for social gatherings with soft live music and the inviting waters of the swimming pool.

2 versatile function rooms and a pillarless grand ballroom for up to 500 guests provide venues for a wide range of meeting and event requirements, supported by a full-service business center. The outdoor lap pool and onsite health & fitness center offers recreation options to guests after a day of meetings or exploring of Bangkok’s malls and streets.

Holiday Inn Bangkok Sukhumvit 22 becomes the fourth property in the city for the brand, joining sister hotels Holiday Inn Bangkok, Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom and the recently-opened Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam.
