Starwood Opens Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran

Starwood Hotels & Resorts marked the return of its Le Meridien brand to Bali with the opening of the new Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran, combining chic, modern design with a passion for the arts, culture and creative cuisine. Located on the southwest coast of the island by the pristine white sands of Jimbaran Bay, the resort is a short drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport and many of Bali’s natural and cultural attractions, including the majestic Pura Uluwatu.

Surrounded by serene and refreshing water features, the hotel’s 118 guestrooms and suites feature modern batik motifs and striking liquid art imagery by German artist Markus Reugels. Each offers the Le Meridien signature bed and a spacious marble bathroom, with the latest in-room technology, including 3D Smart television, iPod docking station and high-speed internet access keeping guests connected during their stay. Floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces offer inspiring views, while the ground floor guestrooms open directly onto a uniquely-designed 1,300-square meter organic form saltwater lagoon pool.

Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran offers guests 4 distinct dining venues in a 3-floor complex. The signature restaurant Bamboo Chic fuses the local Balinese palate with pan-asian flavours, while the casual dining Wala serves handcrafted gelato and aromatic coffees. Latitude 8 complements the newly-developed Le Meridien Hub experience, providing coffee by day and wines and tapas by night in a social setting where guests converse, debate and exchange views, with unparalleled sunset views and tunes from the resident DJs at Smoqee Lounge & Sky Bar beckoning.

The resort provides the perfect backdrop for events ranging from weddings to corporate functions. The centerpiece venue is the glass-encased Celebration Pavilion and Bale Banjar Ballroom on the rooftop, affording panoramic views of Jimbaran Bay and its famous sunsets. A modern conference center provides 600 square meters of multi-purpose space, state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, a business center, and creative event staff. For recreation, the rejuvenation spa Serenity offers 6 treatment rooms and a lounge, while the well-equipped fitness center provides a variety of health programs. Younger guests are kept engaged with an array of activities and programs at the J Kids Club, as well as a dedicated outdoor children’s swimming pool. Beyond the property, hotel guests will be welcomed at Kendra Art Gallery’s exclusive exhibit space, as part of Le Méridien’s popular UNLOCK ART program.

Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran joins The Laguna Resort & Spa Nusa Dua, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, The St. Regis Bali Resort, W Retreat & Spa Bali Seminyak and The Westin Resort Nusa Dua on Bali. Starwood is poised to add another 3 properties to its portfolio in Bali – Aloft Bali Ubud, The Sarasvati Bali and The Westin Ubud Resort & Spa, further boosting its presence on the Indonesian resort island.
