Royal Caribbean Announces Upcoming Quantum Of The Seas Itineraries

Royal Caribbean International has unveiled itineraries for the new Quantum of the Seas, scheduled to begin sailing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey from 23 November 2014. The 167,800-GRT ship will offer 18 Caribbean sailings, ranging from 7 to 12 nights, during her inaugural season.

Cruisers will be able to choose from 7- or 8-night Bahamas, 8- to 11-night Eastern Caribbean and 11- or 12-night Southern Caribbean itineraries through April 2015. The Bahamas cruises will call at Port Canaveral, Nassau and Royal Caribbean’s private island CocoCay, while the Eastern Caribbean itineraries will include visits to San Juan, Samana, St. Thomas, St. Kitts and St. Maarten. Port calls for the Southern Caribbean include San Juan, St. Maarten, Martinique, Barbados and St. Kitts. On most of her Caribbean sailings, Quantum of the Seas will also visit Labadee, Royal Caribbean’s private beach on the north coast of Haiti.

Currently under construction in Germany, Quantum of the Seas is set to take the cruise experience to a whole new level. She will offer a host of industry-first innovations, such as the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, the North Star observation pod that elevates guests more than 30 meters above the ship, Two70° and SeaPlex social spaces, as well as the line’s largest and most advanced accommodations.

Television and film actress Kristin Chenoweth will christen Quantum of the Seas in fall 2014. Her sister ship, Anthem of the Seas, will follow in spring 2015. Both vessels will span 16 decks and carry 4,180 guests at double occupancy.
