Anantara Opens New Vietnamese Resort

Thailand-based Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced the opening of the Anantara Hoi An Resort, its second Vietnamese property. Positioned on the banks of the Thu Bon River, the resort is a short drive from Danang International Airport and combines Chinese, Dutch, French and Japanese influences revealing the city’s cultural diversity.

93 guestrooms and suites are housed in 2- and 3-storey French colonial-style buildings, offering tranquil garden and river views. Intimate spaces define the accommodations, which offer a split level layout of an upper bedroom and bathroom with Queen-sized or twin beds, leading down to a lower lounge with 32-inch LCD television, writing desk and opening onto a porch with comfortable daybeds.

Riverside charm defines the dining at Anantara Hoi An Resort. Lanterns’ colonial dining room takes guests back in time while they enjoy the scrumptious breakfast buffet or Vietnamese favorites from the a la carte menu, while the French deli interiors of the Riverside Cafe is perfectly suited for light meals and meet ups over fine Vietnamese coffee paired with cakes and bakery creations. True to its name, the Heritage Bar’s collection of black and white photos showcase Hoi An’s heritage while serving comfort food including Vietnam’s famous baguettes. Rounding up the quartet is Reflections, the quiet pool bar offering refreshing juices and cocktails.

Events and meetings can be held at the resort’s multipurpose function room, where natural light floods in from large doors and windows. The luxurious spa is a tranquil sanctuary after a day of business or sightseeing, offering Anantara’s signature treatments including the “Vietnamese Four Hands Massage”, while a swimming pool and children’s pool provide respite from the tropical heat. Guests may also enrich themselves with lantern-making, Vietnamese language, cooking, mixology and traditional painting classes during their stay. Beyond the resort, guests can embark on organized excursions and sightseeing trips to the surrounding sights.

Anantara Hoi An Resort joins the Anantara Mui Ne Resort & Spa in Vietnam. Parent company Minor Hotel Group continues to grow its presence in the country, with plans to open a conversion property in Quy Nhon under its contemporary upscale Avani brand.
