Iron Man Experience Announced For Hong Kong Disneyland

Walt Disney Parks & Resorts has announced plans for the very first Disney attraction based on a Marvel character. Located in Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland, the new Iron Man-themed experience will debut in 2016 and offer fans and visitors a glimpse into the world of Tony Stark.


Based around a piece of the captivating Stark Expo, the attraction will comprise of a memorabilia showcase and adventure ride. The former displays some of the inventions and innovations from the Iron Man universe, including the progression of the various armoured suits.


The motion simulation ride lets visitors take flight with Iron Man, pitting them against the forces of evil in the streets and skies of Hong Kong for a local touch. The Avenger will also be on hand to meet guests and participate in photo calls around the attraction.


Disney will be looking to emulate the success of Hong Kong Disneyland’s Toy Story land, Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point with the new attraction. Asia remains a key growth market for the company, which is also developing a sister park in Shanghai to capture a greater slice of the Mainland China market.
