Now Open: Langham Place Guangzhou

Hong Kong’s Langham Hospitality Group has expanded its Langham Place brand with the opening of the new Langham Place Guangzhou. Located in the city’s new central business district on Pazhou Island, the 500-room hotel is 45 minutes from Baiyun International Airport and a 2-minute walk to the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Combining the intimacy of a private residence with the contemporary style of today’s hotels, the guestrooms and suites offer luxurious decor and subtle sophistication. Floor-to-ceiling windows reveal the panorama of downtown Guangzhou while guests luxuriate in the brand’s signature bedding, with other amenities including a marble bathroom, 42-inch LCD television, iPod docking station, high-speed internet access, large writing desk, electronic safe, fully-stocked minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

Langham Place Guangzhou offers 4 unique food & beverage venues that add to the local culinary scene. The Open Kitchen offers an interactive dining experience with its various live stations and bountiful buffets, while Ming Court follows the traditions of its Michelin-starred sibling in Hong Kong. As its name suggests, Alfresco features flame-grilled meats and seafood dishes served in an inviting outdoor and open-grill setting. Rounding up the quartet is the Sky Bar delivering signature cocktails and vintage wines to the neon lights of the city below.

Conference travellers will find a 2,800-square meter, pillar-free ballroom in the form of the Great Hall, while an outdoor promenade provides an alternative space suited for social events and product launches. Portal is a hybrid business center cum lounge where guests can work at individual workstations over a relaxing drink. Other features of the hotel include the Chuan Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, indoor swimming pool and 2 mini golf courses.

Langham Place Guangzhou is the eighth hotel for the group in mainland China and the 20th in its global portfolio across its Langham, Langham Place, Eaton and 88 Xintiandi brands.
