Costa Victoria Returns To Service After Enhancement

Costa Cruises’ Costa Victoria returned to service today in Singapore following an extensive USD 18 million drydock upgrade. Sailing year-round in Asia, the ship’s “Italy at Sea” concept has been renewed in every detail to better cater to the requirements of the region’s cruisers.

New balconies, terraces and windows add to her elegant outlook, while the interiors have been restyled in contemporary European flair. The 964 cabins and suites now boast new bedding, furnishings and carpeting, with public spaces enhanced with the use of colours, materials, textures and artwork including glass mosaics designed by Emilio Tadinidi. With an emphasis on fine dining, the ship has several culinary experiences for guests, ranging from the Sinfonia and Fantasia restaurants to the additional charge Il Magnifico Club restaurant.

The revitalized Costa Victoria’s boutique shopping area has been upgraded to offer an upscale shopping experience in European designer wear at duty-free prices, while the 2-deckFestival Theatre showcases stage acts and performances. These are complemented by an array of pools, sun areas and the modern Pompei Spa.

Costa Victoria embarks on a 4-day roundtrip sailing to Phuket and Langkawi from Singapore, where she will homeport until January 2014 operating a series of short cruises to Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The ship then moves to Hong Kong, sailing out of the Special Administrative Region to Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and China.
