Starwood Returns Westin Brand To Singapore

Hospitality giant Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened The Westin Singapore, marking the brand’s return to the city-state after a 10-year absence. Occupying levels 32 to 46 of the brand new Asia Square Tower 2 development in the Marina Bay area, the 305-room hotel is a quick drive from Changi International Airport and will offer a range of features, including the highest lobby in Singapore.

Guests will be welcomed with panoramic views of the southern islands and the Straits of Singapore from 11-meter high floor-to-ceiling windows at the 32nd floor lobby. Guestrooms and suites will feature the brand’s signature Heavenly Bed, marble bathroom with separate bathtub and rainforest shower, flatscreen television, high-speed internet access, workdesk, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

The hotel’s F&B outlets include signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes offering the SuperFoods programme and a 33rd floor gastro-bar called Cook & Brew. Complementing the duo is an elegant Lobby Lounge and Daily Treats, a gourmet market located on the ground floor serving sandwiches, wraps and beverages.

For the corporate and events market, the hotel will offer 1,350m² of function space, including a spacious ballroom and meeting rooms on the 35th floor. In-line with Westin’s health and wellness theme, the property also boasts the Heavenly Spa with 6 treatment rooms, whirlpool and steam room, as well as the Westin Workout fitness center and an infinity-edged swimming pool overlooking the south coast.

The launch of The Westin Singapore forms part of a broader plan to add 20 more Westin properties across Asia Pacific, increasing the brand’s existing portfolio by approximately 50%. Starwood now operates 4 leading hotels in Singapore under its Sheraton, St. Regis and W Hotels flags.
