JW Marriott Arrives In Hanoi

Marriott International has brought its luxury JW Marriott brand to Vietnam, opening a new 450-room hotel in the country’s capital. Located adjacent to the city’s National Convention Center, the JW Marriott Hanoi is spread over 75,000 square meters and features a unique ‘reverse skyscraper’ design from acclaimed architecture practice Carlos Zapata Studio.

394 graciously appointed guestrooms and suites feature wood flooring and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, with luxury bedding and a marble bathroom offering comforts for travellers after a day of business or sightseeing. Entertainment is delivered in the form of a 42-inch LCD television with cable programming, iPod docking station and high-speed internet access, while an ergonomic work station and convenient electrical outlets is available to guests who need to catch up with work on-the-road.

For dining, the JW Marriott Hanoi offers its signature JW Cafe in a modern and inviting atmosphere amidst lakeside vistas. The French Grill’s unique decor and contemporary ambiance is matched with fine cuisine, while The Chinese Palace serves authentic Cantonese dishes. Complementing the trio is The Lounge with its casual afternoon tea and Antidote, set to be the next gathering venue in Hanoi.

The property will also cater for the corporate and events market, with more than 3,600 square meters of meeting space (including two ballrooms and 17 meeting rooms) onsite. Leisure guests can indulge at the Spa by JW, while an indoor swimming pool and fully-equipped fitness center caters to guests looking for a hearty workout.

JW Marriott Hanoi becomes the third new JW Marriott to arrive in Asia in the last two months, following earlier openings in Delhi and Bengaluru. Overall, Marriott International expects to more than double its Asian portfolio from 144 open hotels today to more than 330 by 2017.
