Qatar Airways Announces Dreamliner For Singapore Route

Qatar Airways has confirmed the deployment of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Doha – Singapore route, marking the first time the aircraft is utilized to Southeast Asia. The Dreamliner will operate alongside the B777 that the Oneworld member currently flies to Singapore.


From 31 March 2014, the jet will operate services QR 938/939 (Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays) and QR 940/941 (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). Flights will depart Doha at 0700 hrs/0045 hrs, arriving in Singapore’s Changi International Airport at 1335 hrs/1950 hrs, with the return leg taking off from the city-state at 2120 hrs daily for a 2355 hrs landing back in Qatar.


The announcement will bolster Qatar Airways’ position in the competitive air travel market, allowing it to offer its flagship product on through service from Singapore to Bangalore, Brussels, Copenhagen, Delhi, Dubai, Frankfurt, Jeddah, London, Munich, Oslo, Riyadh, Stockholm and Zurich via Doha. The airline took the opportunity this week to showcase the jet, featuring 22 Business Class flat beds and 232 Economy Class seats, to trade and media partners this week at the Singapore Airshow.


Qatar Airways currently operates 9 Dreamliners and has a further 51 on order.
