Celebrity Cruises Confirms Departure Of Celebrity Century

Celebrity Cruises has confirmed industry speculation that the 1,814-guest Celebrity Century will leave the fleet in April 2015, unveiling details of her farewell season that will see the ship call at a record number of ports and 17 new destinations for the brand.

From March 2014 to April 2015, Celebrity Century will visit 77 ports across 32 countries, the most destinations worldwide of any other ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet. Sailing in regions including Alaska, the caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific Ocean, guests will be able to experience rich culture and diversity, with a key focus on Asia, where new and exotic destinations include Manila and Boracay, Bandar Seri Begawan and Yangon

A highlight of the season will be Celebrity’s 14-night “President’s Celebration of the Century” cruise. Sailing from Singapore on 8 March 2015, cruisers will join Michael Bayley, the line’s President and Chief Executive Officer, travelling to destinations in Vietnam and the Philippines. Further special events and exclusive onboard programming will be announced shortly.

Leadship of the Century-class, Celebrity Century has offered cruisers spacious and beautifully-designed spaces, premium recreational and award-winning dining since its inaugural sailing in 1995. During her 20-year service, she was the first ship to feature the now hugely popular Martini Bar and debuted Murano, Celebrity’s hugely popular specialty restaurant.
