Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Reshuffles Brand Portfolio

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has revealed plans to reshuffle its portfolio of brands. The company will launch 2 new brands, Radisson Red and Quorvus Collection, while announcing the discontinuation of the Hotel Missoni brand.

Radisson Red

Described by Carlson Rezidor as a ‘Lifestyle Select’ concept, Radisson Red will convey an eclectic, modernist aesthetic with a contemporary, purpose-driven design focus. Leveraging heavily on technology, the centerpiece will be a mobile application that will allow guests to manage their profile and preferences, as well as skip the reception for check-in, place food & beverage orders and special requests at the hotel.

Radisson Red will launch simultaneously in 2015 in urban centres in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. The company is targeting to sign more than 60 properties for the brand by 2020.

Quorvus Collection

Expertly curated, the members of the Quorvus Collection retain their individuality in style, design, heritage, history and architecture while reflecting its location and culture. A suite of hallmark services, comprising 6 core lifestyle elements (wellness, replenishment, style, inspiration, entertainment and connectivity), will be tailored to fulfill guest needs.

Carlson Rezidor expects to announce the Quorvus Collection’s first members in the second quarter of 2014. The future portfolio will include historic landmark properties, contemporary residences, classic boutiques and urban retreats.

Discontinuation of Hotel Missoni

Carlson Rezidor and Italian fashion house Missoni have opted to end their partnership on the Hotel Missoni brand, citing new strategic directions for both companies. The existing properties, Hotel Missoni Edinburgh and Hotel Missoni Kuwait, will be rebranded by 30 June 2014.
