Marriott Opens Osaka Hotel

Marriott International has opened the first hotel in Osaka to bear its flagship Marriott brand. Situated within the new Abeno Harukas tower in front of Osaka Abenobasho Station, the new Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel is conveniently located for business and leisure travel in the city and the Kansai region.

The 360 guestrooms and suites occupy floors 38 through 55 of the building, offering spectacular views of the city from floor-to-ceiling windows. Measuring 38 square meters on average, each accommodation option is contemporarily designed with amenities including luxury bedding, marble bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, 32-inch flatscreen television and high-speed internet access. Executive floor rooms are served by a dedicated lounge (the largest of its kind in Japan) with a 10-meter high ceiling and panoramic windows.

Dining options include Cooka, the open kitchen buffet restaurant offering a selection of Japanese and international dishes in a casual setting. The stylish ZK continental restaurant takes up the entire 57th floor with dishes made before diners and a teppanyaki grill. On the 19th floor, the hotel’s Lobby Lounge and Bar lets guests take in the activity of the Greatroom lobby over drinks.

Business travellers and meeting planners will find high-tech, Wi-Fi enabled meeting facilities capable of hosting events of all sizes. At 230 square meters, the Akane room can accommodate up to 160 delegates in a theatre setting, while 6 smaller rooms are perfect for intimate social gatherings. For recreation, the hotel offers an onsite fitness center.

With the opening of Osaka Marriott Miyako Hotel, there are now 4 Marriott-flagged properties operating across Japan.
