Air Canada To Boost Brazilian Presence

Air Canada has announced a boost to its South American presence with the addition of a new route to Brazil. From 11 December 2014, the Star Alliance member will launch a non-stop service between Toronto and Rio de Janeiro, complementing its existing daily Toronto – Sao Paolo flight.

 

Operating thrice weekly, flight AC 098 will depart Toronto at 2255 hrs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 1225 hrs the next day. The return flight, AC 099, takes off from Galeão-Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport at 2145 hrs for a early morning landing at 0545 hrs at Lester B. Pearson International Airport.

 

The new service is timed for convenient connections to Far East destinations including to Tokyo (Haneda), Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, further expanding Air Canada’s global reach from Toronto. A Boeing 767-300ER with 24 International Business Class and 187 Economy Class seats will ply the route.

 

Rio de Janeiro joins Bogota, Buenos Aires, Lima and Sao Paolo on Air Canada’s South American network.
