Regal Princess Arrives For Venetian Debut

The newest addition to the Princess Cruises fleet, Regal Princess, arrived in Venice earlier this week to welcome guests on her maiden voyage. The 7-day cruise to Athens includes stops in Corfu, Mykonos and an overnight call in Istanbul, launching the ship’s inaugural season. She will then sail a 6-day trip from Athens to Venice, calling at Kusadasi, Santorini, Katakolon and Dubrovnik.

Regal Princess, sister ship to the acclaimed Royal Princess, offers her 3,560 guests a variety of enticing features including the glass-bottomed SeaWalk, a soaring atrium incorporating the Bellini’s Italian cocktail bar, Ocean Terrace seafood bar and a gelateria. Amongst her array of dining options is the Chef’s Table Lumiere where guests dine in private surrounded by a curtain of light.

On deck, private cabanas in The Sanctuary and the Retreat Pool provide opportunities to personalize relaxation time, while the central pool area hosts the Princess WaterColor Fantasy themed fountain sequences. The ship also differs from her sister with an additional aft pool and access to the exterior promenade on deck 7, enabling passengers to walk the length of the ship.

Regal Princess will spend the summer cruising in Europe, offering 2 itinerary choices of Princess’ signature Grand Mediterranean cruises before crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Florida, where she will be officially named in November 2014 prior to her winter season operating Eastern Caribbean cruises.
