Double Chinese Openings For Hyatt

Hyatt Hotels Corporation celebrated double openings in China this week with the debut of the new Hyatt Place Shenzhen Dongmen and Hyatt Regency Tianjin East.

 

Hyatt Place Shenzhen Dongmen

Asia Pacific’s first Hyatt Place property is situated in the popular Dongmen shopping district in Shenzhen, enjoying good road and metro transportation links to the city’s international airport and border crossings with Hong Kong. Designed to offer a select-service product to business and leisure travellers, modern design and practicality features in the newbuild hotel.

 

The 144 guestrooms are equipped with the company’s signature Hyatt Grand Bed, contemporary bathroom, 42-inch high-definition television and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. A Cozy Corner sleeper sofa and work space separate the living and sleeping areas, with other amenities including iPod-compatible clock radio, cordless telephone, in-room safe, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

 

Complimentary breakfast is available to all guests daily, with a variety of fresh fruits, hot and cold cereal, yoghurt, breads, coffee and juices served at the all-day dining Gallery Kitchen. The grab-and-go Market sells salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts around the clock, while the Coffee to Cocktails Bar serves specialty coffees, house beverages and a variety of cocktails.

 

More than 1,185 square meters of flexible meeting space cater to small groups and business travellers, with a business centre providing office support. Other facilities include a 24-hour gymnasium equipped with cardiovascular and weight training equipment.

 

Hyatt Regency Tianjin East

Marking the return of the Hyatt Regency brand to the area 28 years after making history as the city’s first international hotel, the new Hyatt Regency Tianjin East is part of a mixed-use development in Hedong District. Close proximity to the airport and Tianjin Railway Station (where high-speed rail connects Beijing in 28 minutes) provide easy access to the property.

 

306 guestrooms, ranging from the 43-square meter Standard Room to the 368-square meter Chairman Suite, offer commanding views of the city from floor-to-ceiling windows. Each is furnished with luxury bedding topped with 400-threadcount linens, semi-open marble bathrooms, 46-inch LED televisions and complimentary high-speed internet access, while the suites also offer separate living and dining areas with Nespresso coffee machines and access to the Regency Club Lounge.

 

3 dining options are available to guests and Tianjin residents. Wok in the Garden serves Cantonese and northern Chinese cuisines in a classic interior space and alfresco dining terrace featuring a bar with live music. Market Café is the hotel’s all-day dining outlet offering a mix of Asian and international fare, with an attached patisserie for freshly-made pastries, country breads and desserts. Set against the backdrop of a 4-level water wall and central fireplace, the Lobby Lounge is the place for sampling the finest Chinese teas, wines and indulging in high tea.

 

Hyatt Regency Tianjin East has more than 2,000 square meters of flexible event and meeting spaces, including the 750-square meter Regency Ballroom that can accommodate up to 420 guests for a sit-down banquet, while the 320-square meter foyer boasts a show kitchen and views of the city. For recreation, the Yue Shui Liao Spa offers treatments that blend the use of skin products with traditional Chinese medicine ingredients and techniques to rejuvenate and revive. A fitness centre features a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, separate male and female hydrotherapy facilities and fully-equipped gymnasium.
