Hilton Launches New Brand – Curio

Hilton Worldwide today announced the launch of Curio – A Collection by Hilton, revealing plans for the first hotels to join the new brand.

 

A carefully selected, global portfolio of distinctive 4- to 5-star properties, Curio is created for travellers who seek local discovery and authentic experiences. Each hotel will retain its individual identity while enjoying the commercial backing of Hilton Worldwide.

 

Letters of intent have been signed for 5 properties, including the much-anticipated SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino currently under development on the site of the former Sahara Hotel & Resort. Other properties slated for the collection are The Sam Houston Hotel, Hotel Alex Johnson in Rapid City, The Franklin Hotel in Chapel Hill and a soon-to-be-named hotel development in downtown Portland.

 

The Curio Collection becomes the eleventh brand to join Hilton Worldwide. It gives the company, one of the world’s largest hospitality players, a platform to compete in the boutique hotel segment, a space where rivals Starwood and Marriott International dominate with their W Hotels and Edition Hotels brands.
