Air France To Offer Private Jet Connections

European carrier and Skyteam member Air France has announced a new private jet service for its best-heeled passengers. Exclusive to La Première travellers and their companions connecting at Paris (Charles de Gaulle), the airline will soon offer bespoke flights in partnership with business jet operator Wijet.

Flying the Cessna Citation Mustang jet, passengers can travel in utmost luxury to or from 1,200 airports in France and Europe within 2.5 hours from Paris. Each aircraft features a private cabin with just 4 large leather club seats, personal storage space and folding shelves. A selection of French pastries or a lunch box are offered during each flight, accompanied by a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Daily newspapers, magazines, touchscreen tablets and free satellite telephone services are also available.

On the ground, departure procedures are simplified with no check-in formalities and immediate boarding. Arriving at the destination, passengers simply disembark the jet with their baggage. An Air France La Première agent accompanies passengers at every stage of the trip, greeting them at the aircraft door and escorting them to their limousine transfer or a visit to the La Première lounge.

Air France joins a growing number of carriers in offering private jet service, including European rivals Lufthansa, Middle Eastern giants Emirates and Qatar Airways, as well as Singapore Airlines. The carrier continues to upgrade its premium product, recently revealing its new haute couture La Première suites and new Business Class seats, in a bid to improve revenues and grow business from premium travellers.
