New Rooms Unveiled At Grand Hyatt Taipei

The Grand Hyatt Taipei has unveiled its refurbished accommodations, the first phase of an extensive property revitalization project. 853 guestrooms and suites have been redesigned and remodeled, with craftsmen stripping down the hotel to its concrete bones.

Reflecting eastern and western influences, the design features the use of light-coloured timbers for the living and sleeping areas, while bathrooms are clad in elegant marble. Panoramic windows let in natural light to create a feeling of space, as well as offering views of the imposing Taipei 101 skyscraper and the surrounding cityscape.

Contemporary furnishings, including luxury bedding, standalone bathtub and walk-in shower, 47-inch High-Definition television with media hub connectivity and complimentary high-speed internet access, complement the stylish decor while catering to business and leisure travellers. Guests staying in the executive guestrooms and suites also enjoy access to the Grand Club Lounge on the 22nd floor for benefits such as complimentary continental breakfast, all-day beverages, evening cocktails and 1-hour complimentary use of meeting facilities.

The next phase of the renovation will see the Grand Hyatt Taipei reconstruct 4 of its 9 dining venues, Grand Club facilities, improve the exterior and work on infrastructural systems. When completed in spring 2015, the enhanced hotel will hold the distinction of being the newest and oldest luxury hotel in Taipei, celebrating 25 years of operation since opening in 1990.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is embarking on an overhaul of the Grand Hyatt brand, with properties in Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo undergoing refurbishment works.
