Parisian Heritage Hotel Opens Under Hilton Flag

Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of the new Hilton Paris Opera, planting the brand’s flag on one of Paris’ most historic and grandest heritage hotels. Located in the heart of the Opera district a short distance from the Champs-Elysées and the boutiques of Galeries Lafayette, the property emerges from a USD 50 million refurbishment returning it to her former glory when she first opened in 1889 for visitors to the Exposition Universelle.

Each part of the hotel has been carefully restored and transformed by acclaimed design consultancy Richmond International in a sophisticated style that pays homage to the building’s storied history. Leading off the entrance lobby is the majestic Le Grand Salon, where guests can socialize and take in the Belle Époque surroundings in the form of soaring 14-meter high ceilings and hand-painted frescoes.

The 268 guestrooms and suites have been restored and given an updated aesthetic with modern conveniences for today’s discerning traveller, with a highlight being the 83-square meter Maria Callas Suite, offering a spacious living room with the high ceilings typical of a Parisian Haussmann building, an elegantly-appointed master bedroom with 1 king bed and a second bedroom with twin beds, private ensure bathrooms designed with a large polished stone vanity and spacious walk-in shower.

Dining options at the Hilton Paris Opera include the Terminus Cafe, serving modern French fare in a 1900s Parisian ambiance, as well as the Golden Black Bar, an institution in the city’s bar scene. Adjacent to the main hotel entrance is Le Petit Bar, offering a smaller, more intimate venue as its name suggests for tapas, creative cocktails and digestifs.

The hotel also boasts the magnificent Baccarat Ballroom, adorned with vintage chandeliers from the famous crystal maker and able to accommodate up to 180 guests. 6 smaller meeting rooms with natural daylight complement the ballroom, while recreation is provided by a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Hilton Paris Opera becomes the fifth property for Hilton Worldwide in the French capital, joining the Hilton Paris La Defense, Hilton Paris Orly Airport, Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport and the Trianon Palace Versailles.
