Galaxy Entertainment Grows Macau Footprint

Galaxy Entertainment Group has revealed its launch plans for 2 highly-anticipated projects in Macau that will see it increase its footprint in the territory. The Hong Kong-based corporation is adding a further 550,000 square meters to its existing developments in Cotai at the cost of USD 5.5 billion to expand its flagship Galaxy Macau resort and redevelop the former Grand Waldo complex into the Broadway Macau.

3 New Hotels to Add More Than 1,500 Keys

Joining the award-winning portfolio of the Banyan Tree Macau, Hotel Okura Macau and the Galaxy Hotel will be 3 hotel brands making their debut. The complex will welcome the 250-key The Ritz-Carlton Macau, the brand’s first all-suite property, together with the 1,000-room JW Marriott Hotel Macau and the new Broadway Hotel offering 320 well-appointed accommodations targeted at families. The 3 properties add more than 1,500 keys to the resort, taking its combined room count up to nearly 4,000 guestrooms, suites and villas.

Asian Cuisine takes Centerstage

Expanding an already impressive lineup of quality restaurants, bars and lounges, Galaxy Macau will see the arrival of new dining venues and establishments including world-class restaurants Fook Lam Moon and Lai Heen alongside 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA from internationally renowned 3 Michelin-starred chef Umberto Bombana. Broadway at Galaxy Macau will showcase the best of Asian and Macanese cuisine with a wide selection of regional and local brand names. The entire complex will offer over 120 food & beverage outlets.

A Larger Grand Resort Deck

Galaxy Macau’s Grand Resort Deck is set to grow to over 75,000 square meters. The expanded water park space will feature the new Skytop Adventure Rapids, which at 575 meters long takes the title of world’s longest skytop aquatic adventure river ride. The new attraction complements Asian themed tropical gardens, the world’s largest skytop wave pool, white sand beach and its existing array of waterslides, beach lagoons, white water rapids, geysers, waterfalls and a kids zone.

Bolstered Retail, Entertainment and Convention Spaces

With more than 200 outlets, The Promenade will be recognized as a leading luxury retail hub in Macau. The space promises the ambiance of a sophisticated urban village featuring high-street brands and flagship stores to designer boutiques, including first-to-Macau labels Alexander Wang, Moncler and Qeelin, as well as flagship stores for Burberry, H&M, Bottega Veneta, Bvlgari, Louis Vuitton and more.

A 3,000-seat Broadway Theatre of the Broadway Macau will offer guests a unique entertainment experience featuring the best international shows and performances. The complex’s convention spaces will be able to cater for up to 3,000 guests across a diverse range of events, from intimate social gatherings, weddings and meetings to conferences, glitzy product launches and spectacular banquets.

Galaxy Macau is situated on the western edge of Cotai and is a short 15 minute drive from Macau International Airport, Macau Ferry Terminal and Taipa Ferry Terminal. The complex is also easily accessible from land border crossings with China and sister property StarWorld Macau with convenient shuttle bus connections.
