Scoot Unveils Special-Liveried Jet, Inaugurates Osaka Services

Singapore-based low cost carrier Scoot recently welcomed its newest Boeing 787 Dreamliner, in-time for the launch of its new Osaka services.

SG50-themed Jet First Special Livery for Airline

Unveiled to the public after a quiet arrival under the cover of darkness and a 7-day painting operation, Scoot’s latest Dreamliner carries a special livery in celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee this year.

Adorned with red balloons and bursts of confetti, the party-themed livery also features the country’s SG50 logo, its iconic Merlion tourism symbol and caricatures of 2 Scoot cabin crew helping to spread the main message, “Happy 50th Birthday Singapore”.

Aptly named “Maju Lah”, a take on the Malay word for progress, the aircraft will be deployed on Scoot’s growing network of B787 destinations, as well as host the airline’s “National Day In-Flight Party” on 9 August 2015.

Scoot also inaugurated its Osaka services today using the SG50 jet, with the first flight landing at Kansai International Airport at 1550 hrs after flying from Singapore and Bangkok. The return flight, TZ 297, departs Osaka (Kansai) at 1730 hrs to land in Bangkok at 2155 hrs, continuing on at 2255 hrs to Singapore, where it lands at 0225 hrs the next day.
