Mandarin Oriental Opens In Milan

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group continues its global expansion with the opening of the new Mandarin Oriental Milan. Housed within 4 elegantly redeveloped 18th century buildings, the intimate yet contemporary hotel offers a distinctly residential feel in the heart of the city on the central Via Andegari, steps away from fashionable Via Manoni and Montenapoleone.

104 elegant rooms and suites offer spacious and stylish accommodation, featuring Italian-style interior design by internationally-renowned studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel Interiors. Each is luxuriously furnished with beds featuring custom-made Egyptian cotton linen, marble bathroom with Panpuri amenities, 55-inch LED television, high-speed internet access, large workdesk and Nespresso coffee machine.

Executive chef Antonio Guida (formerly of the 2-Michelin-starred Il Pellicano in Tuscany) presides over Seta, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant. Offering al fresco dining in the beautiful courtyard or indoors, the menu comprises sophisticated, contemporary dishes with French, Asian and Tuscan influences. The more casual Mandarin Bar presents a ‘bistro style’ menu of Italian dishes and hotel classics, paired to evening drinks created by expert mixologists or a typical Milanese aperitivo.

2 function rooms, the Oriental Room and Taipan Room, can accommodate up to 90 guests for intimate events, private parties and meetings, supported by a dedicated team of catering professionals. For recreation, the hotel offers The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Milan with 6 treatment rooms, a pair of couple’s suites and a dedicated Thai massage room. Celebrity stylist Massimo Serini heads the hair salon, complemented by a manicure and pedicure studio, beauty studio, a heated indoor swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Mandarin Oriental Milan becomes the ninth European property for the brand, joining sister properties in locations including Barcelona, Bodrum, Geneva, London, Madrid, Munich, Paris and Prague. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will next open in Morocco, with the upcoming Mandarin Oriental Marrakech.
