Silversea Unveils Grand Expeditions

Silversea Cruises has unveiled details of its upcoming Grand Expeditions. Sailing from October 2015, the luxury line has created 5 journeys ranging from 18 to 34 days.

Each voyage begins with an expedition cruise in the Galapágos Islands, before connecting to a land adventure, and finally ending with a further expedition cruise exploring the coast of Central America, South America, or Antarctica.

18-day Latin American Delights

Setting sail on 1 October 2015, Silver Galapagos will explore the western Galápagos Islands, known for spectacular volcanic landscapes, penguin spotting, and snorkeling. Post-cruise, guests experience an overnight stay in Guayaquil before flying to Panama to embark Silver Explorer. Sailing from Colón back to Guayaquil, guests will be able to witness wildlife, float up river in the Darien Jungle, and discover the beauty of Colombia’s Pacific coast.

25-day South American Sojourn

Genovesa Island’s Great Darwin Bay, formed by a collapsed caldera, and Española Island’s abundant wildlife highlight this north central itinerary of Silver Galapagos departing on 8 October 2015. A 2-night, post-cruise stay in Guayaquil features an afternoon tour of the city before guests embark Silver Explorer for the journey to Valparaiso, where they will be immersed in the unique cultures and landscapes of Peru and Chile.

Silver Galapagos visits Genovesa Island’s Great Darwin Bay on her regular expedition itinerary. Returning to Guayaquil, guests will overnight in the city before flying to Santiago, where they can take time to explore the Chilean capital and partake in an enriching wine tour.
