Singapore Airlines Plans Dusseldorf Route With A350s

Singapore Airlines has revealed plans to begin nonstop flights between Singapore and Dusseldorf, using its brand new Airbus A350-900 jets.


Subject to regulatory approval, the Star Alliance member will fly the route 3 times weekly from 21 July 2016. Flight SQ 338 is scheduled to depart Changi International Airport at 2330 hrs every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Dusseldorf at 0630 hrs the next morning. Inbound service SQ 337 will take off from Dusseldorf International Airport at 1130 hrs on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, landing back in the southeast Asian city-state at 0610 hrs the following day.


A 3-class A350-900 (one of 67 on-order by the airline) will be rostered on the route. Carrying 253 passengers, the aircraft is configured with 42 Business, 24 Premium Economy and 187 Economy Class seats. Each travel class will boast the airline’s latest generation hard product, currently found in its newest Boeing 777-300ERs and rated as one of the best in the skies.


Dusseldorf becomes Singapore Airlines’ third German destination after Frankfurt and Munich.
