China Eastern Airlines, Plaza Premium Open Co-Branded Lounge

China Eastern Airlines has partnered independent lounge operator Plaza Premium Group to open the world’s first co-branded airport lounge, the No. 77 China Eastern Plaza Premium Lounge at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport.

Situated in Terminal 2 near gate 77, the 1,800-square meter space has been conceived with an ‘east-meets-west’ design philosophy, opting for oriental accents matched with clean lines and neutral colours. The lack of a ceiling provides an airy feel with natural light from the large windows, while affording 180-degree panoramas of the terminal and the airport runway.

Visitors will find the lounge divided into different zones for varied needs. Solo travellers can utilize individual honeycomb pods with a workstation and electrical outlet for privacy, while larger communal spaces for relaxing are available to larger groups. The buffet and bar area offers regular sit-down tables and higher benches with convenient electrical outlets. Passengers will also find 3 shower rooms, a business zone with 5 computer workstations, a smoking room and complimentary Wi-Fi in the lounge.

Access to the No. 77 China Eastern Plaza Premium Lounge is complimentary for the airline’s business and first class passengers, but travellers flying with any airline in any travel class may purchase entry. Rates begin at CNY 300 (USD 47) for a 2-hour stay to CNY 1,200 (USD 188) for 10 hours. Priority Pass members are also welcome to visit for up to 2 hours each time.
