St. Regis Extends Footprint To Macau, Dubai

Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ luxury St. Regis brand continues its global expansion with the opening of 2 new hotels in Asia and the Middle East. Part of the Sands Cotai Central integrated resort development, the new St. Regis Macao Cotai Central debuts the brand in the southern Chinese enclave while sister property the St. Regis Dubai welcomes discerning guests nearly 6,000 kilometers away in the Middle East.

The St. Regis Macao Cotai Central

Housed within the fourth tower of Sands China’s multi-brand development on the Cotai Strip, The St. Regis Macao Cotai Central is the latest luxury hotel to debut in Macau, ideally located less than 10 minutes from Macau International Airport and the Taipa Ferry Terminal.

Offering 400 guestrooms and suites, the property marks the brand’s seventh in Greater China and its largest in the world. Ranging from 53 to 77 square meters, each accommodation is exquisitely-styled and lavishly appointed with 300-threadcount bedding, marble bathroom featuring a separate bathtub and shower accompanied by Remede bath amenities, high-definition 55-inch LED television and complimentary internet access. To further enhance the guest experience, all guests may avail the signature St. Regis Butler Service, providing 24-hour anticipatory service and tailoring each stay to specific needs, tastes and preferences.

Celebrating Macau’s reputation as a world-class gastronomic destination, the hotel includes a multi-experience dining venue, The Manor, comprising 5 distinctive offerings (The Dining Room, The Verandah, The Wine Gallery, The Library and The Penthouse Kitchen) ranging from cosmopolitan, high-end cuisine to a bistro-style indoor garden experience. An array of spirits, malt whiskeys and an extensive cocktail list are complemented by house-flavoured spirits and bitters at The St. Regis Bar.

Capable of accommodating up to 450 guests, the pillar-less Astor Grand Ballroom and other smaller, flexible venues add to the event space portfolio at Sands Cotai Central, which offers a full range of integrated resort facilities including premier shopping and entertainment. Setting the mood for a luxurious and revitalizing experience after a day of meetings or exploring the town, The St. Regis Macao Cotai Central’s Iridium Spa on the 38th floor offers rejuvenating treatments and massages, while the expansive outdoor pool with 2,457 square meters of deck space and private cabanas creates an idyllic oasis in the center of the city.

The St. Regis Dubai

Owned by Al Habtoor Group, The St. Regis Dubai brings the brand to the emirate following its success in neighbouring Abu Dhabi and Doha. The property is inspired by the legacy of the Astor family and in a fitting tribute to the brand’s heritage, is built on the former site of Dubai’s oldest hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road within the Al Habtoor City development that will also feature 2 other Starwood hotels under the W Hotels and Westin brands, 3 residential towers and a spectacular water-themed show by Dragone.

The 234 guestrooms and suites offer a bright, airy ambience with impeccable details such as chandeliers, marble bathrooms and signature St. Regis beds. Spanning 913 square meters, the 3-bedroom, 2-storey Royal Suite is located in the central dome of the building, featuring a rooftop plunge pool, vast living room with an elegant dining room, study, lounge area and spacious majlis. The hotel will also be home to the Middle East’s first Bentley Suite, which is finished in the same leather, colors, patterns and wood veneers to reflect the glamour of the British marque with the impeccable elegance of the St. Regis brand.

The St. Regis Dubai extends culinary excellence across its 8 dining venues. Brasserie Quartier is a modern interpretation of a French brasserie serving redefined French favorites, while J&G Steakhouse offers a sophisticated collection of steakhouse classics reimagined by Michelin-starred chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Set amongst lush gardens, The Roof Gardens is an intimate outdoor venue with stylish cabanas for in-house guests and Cafe Fleuri evokes feelings of a 1930s Parisien cafe. Surrounded by olive trees, Le Patio promises idyllic moments in a rustic courtyard setting, together with uninterrupted views of landscaped gardens over the signature St. Regis afternoon tea at Sidra. Over at The Champagne Lounge guests can witness sommeliers perform the brand’s evening ritual of champagne sabering, or opt to have a “Golden Mary” (the hotel’s take on the classic “Bloody Mary” made with yellow tomato juice and gold leaf accents) at the St. Regis Bar.

Offering complete relaxation, the Iridium Spa boasts 6 treatment rooms, 2 hammams and separate wet areas with steam room and sauna for female and male guests. The hotel also features a 24-hour fitness center, 2 rooftop swimming pools and a private helipad, making for a grand entrance into the 800-square meter Astor Ballroom and the beautiful landscaped gardens for al fresco events.
