Upgraded Azamara Journey Returns To Sea

Azamara Club Cruises has announced the completion of upgrades to the Azamara Journey. Part of an ongoing program that will see sister ship Azamara Quest enhanced as well, the line worked with several leading design consultants for the hospitality, leisure and entertainment industries to upgrade the onboard product to complement its already impressive destination immersion experiences.

Departing Freeport in the Bahamas for Miami, the ship has been outfitted with new venues, public spaces and technologies to bring fresh services and amenities to guests.

Staterooms and Suites

All stateroom and suites have been remodeled with materials including beautiful stone and porcelain, creating an ambiance that is comfortable as well as timeless and elegant. The Club World Ocean and Owner’s Suites onboard have also been fully redesigned, while 2 new Spa Suites have been added providing exclusive access to the Sanctum Spa.

Dining Venues Makeover

Azamara Journey’s dining and entertainment venues have received makeovers to present a new look and feel.

The former Pool Grill has been completely transformed into The Patio, a sit-down al fresco dining experience with new lighting, ceiling fans and candles in the evening creating a resort vibe. Inside, the Windows Cafe is reinvigorated with contemporary furniture and place settings, while 2-seater tables allow more layout options for couples or larger parties.

Discoveries Restaurant and Discoveries Bar received a refresh with new decor, lamps, seating and sheers for a warm and inviting atmosphere. This is complemented by the new and improved Living Room (formerly known as the Looking Glass Lounge), offering an expanded daytime offering in a comfortable, well-furnished space featuring a handcrafted wooden wine table.

Revitalized Casino

Together with the revitalization of the ship’s onboard dining venues, Azamara Journey’s Spirits Bar has been similarly transformed for guests visiting the casino. New slot machines, carpeting and reupholstered seating with custom-designed fabrics welcome players.
