Now Open: Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort

AccorHotels has continued the expansion of its luxury Sofitel portfolio in China with the opening of the brand’s first resort in Sanya. Set on the idyllic coast at Haitang Bay, the new Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort offers 477 guestrooms, suites and villas overlooking the South China Sea.

Reminiscent of the French Riviera, all guestrooms are luxuriously furnished with signature bedding, marble bathroom, large satellite television, free Wi-Fi and Bluetooth sound systems. In addition, Club Millesime executive rooms also feature Nespresso coffee machines.

The resort features 5 restaurants and bars, including east-west dining at Cuisine with its open-plan kitchens, authentic Chinese dishes at Hainan Pearl and the poolside casual restaurant Thai, serving up a culinary experience of flavours and spices. Also located by the poolside nestled within tropical gardens is the Eau Bar with its classic beverages and creative cocktails , while guests opting for a more refined atmosphere may indulge in afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge.

Other facilities at the resort include a Sofitel spa, fitness centre, outdoor swimming pools, mahjong and karaoke rooms, a kids’ club with pool and horse riding. For the MICE market, a variety of flexible meeting spaces as well as a 1,100-square meter ballroom is available.

Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort follows the recent launch of the Sofitel Kunming in southwest China’s Yunnan province and becomes the French luxury brand’s 21st Chinese property in China. AccorHotels will further its expansion in Hainan province later this year with the planned opening of the Sofitel Haikou in August 2016.
