Plaza Premium Group Enters Hotel Space With First Aerotel Opening

Independent lounge operator Plaza Premium Group has entered the hospitality industry with the official opening of its first transit hotel, Aerotel Singapore, at the Southeast Asian city’s Changi Airport.

Situated within terminal 1 near the ‘D’ gates, the 70-room facility debuts the Aerotel brand and concept, which was first unveiled at ITB Asia travel tradeshow and soft-opened in October 2015.

Guests are offered comfortable beds with a choice of pillows, power showers, complimentary Wi-Fi and a view of the apron and runway from some of the 70 guestrooms. It is also the only air-side transit hotel in the world to have an outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and poolside bar. Other facilities include a gymnasium and a library lounge.

The hotel will be accessible 24 hours a day with bookings for a minimum of 6 hours. Rates begin at SGD 55 (approximately USD 39).

Hong Kong-based Plaza Premium Group will expand the concept globally, with sister properties to the Aerotel Singapore currently under development at Abu Dhabi International Airport and London (Heathrow).
