Emirates To Add Yangon, Hanoi To Network

Emirates has revealed plans to launch its first-ever flights to Myanmar this summer. Beginning 3 August 2016, the airline will operate a nonstop Dubai-Yangon service, continuing onwards to Hanoi.

Flight EK 388 will depart Dubai daily at 0250 hrs, arriving in Yangon at 1105 hrs. The aircraft continues at 1235 hrs for Hanoi, landing at Noi Bai International Airport at 1450 hrs. The return service, EK 389, is wheels up from the Vietnamese capital at 2250 hrs, touching down at Yangon International Airport at 0020 hrs the next day before taking off again at 0150 hrs for Dubai, where it arrives back in the emirate at 0505 hrs.

Emirates will operate the route using a 3-class Boeing 777-300ER jet, configured with 8 First, 42 Business and 310 Economy Class seats. Passengers will be able to enjoy the airline’s award-winning inflight entertainment system with up to 2,200 channels of on-demand entertainment to choose from.

The new service provides a new connection between the UAE and Myanmar, as well as a fifth freedom link between Yangon and the capital of Vietnam. Both destinations will expand the airline’s network in Southeast Asia to 12 cities across 7 countries, including the Philippine hubs of Cebu and Clark which will be served from 30 March 2016.
