Carnival Magic To Return With Fun Ship 2.0 Features

Carnival Cruise Line’s 128,040-GT Carnival Magic is set to return to service with new Fun Ship 2.0 features in preparation for her Space Coast debut. Currently in drydock at Grand Bahama shipyard in the Bahamas, the ship will gain a variety of dining and bar innovations for her new season cruising out of Port Canaveral in April 2016.

 

The popular Guy’s Burger Joint developed in partnership with Food Network personality Guy Fieri will be added following its success on other ships in the fleet, together with the poolside BlueIguana Tequila Bar and RedFrog Rum Bar serving refreshing Caribbean rum-based frozen drinks and beers, including Carnival’s own “ThirstyFrog Red”. Hand-tossed artisanal-style pizza can be had at Pizzeria Del Capitano, an expansion of the line’s Cucina del Capitano family-style Italian eatery, while the vintage-themed Alchemy Bar offers custom-created elixirs and concoctions from the experienced mixologists.

 

The new spaces complement Carnival Magic’s already impressive onboard facilities, including the SportSquare outdoor recreation area with a suspended ropes course, the 2,114-square meter Cloud 9 Spa with a thalassotherapy pool, thermal suite and 17 private treatment rooms, a massive WaterWorks aqua park highlighted by a 95-meter Twister slide, the Punchliner Comedy Club presented by George Lopez offering both family-friendly and adult performances and the adults-only Serenity retreat. 

 

Returning to Galveston, the ship will continue to offer her current 7-day Caribbean itinerary until 10 April 2016, when she repositions to Port Canaveral. From Florida, Carnival Magic will sail alternating weeklong cruises calling at Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Costa Maya (Western Caribbean) and St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk and Nassau or Amber Cove (Eastern Caribbean). A special 3-day cruise to Nassau will also be offered in April 2016.
