Holiday Inn Express Debuts Down Under With Sydney Opening

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has launched its select-service Holiday Inn Express brand in Australia with the opening of a new hotel in Sydney. The new Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park is the first of 15 Holiday Inn Express hotels to be developed in the country, with additional locations upcoming in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.

The 192-room hotel is located in the northwest of Sydney, servicing businesses and residents in North Ryde, Macquarie Park and the Riverside Corporate Park districts. Sydney International Airport and The Central Business District, as well as major landmarks in the city is within easy reach via a 30-minute drive.

All guests at the Holiday Inn Express Sydney Macquarie Park enjoy all of the brand’s standard amenities. The sleek, stylish guestrooms offer comfortable bedding with a choice of pillows, an ensuite bathroom, flatscreen television and complimentary Wi-Fi. The Great Room serves up the Express Start breakfast every morning and doubles as a social space over the day, while a self-service business centre and laundry cater to the varied needs of today’s economy traveller.

IHG will continue the brand’s roll-out with the 226-room Holiday Inn Express Brisbane  Spring Hill due to open later this year, followed by the 245-room Holiday Inn Express Adelaide CBD in 2017 and the 345-room Holiday Inn Express Melbourne Southbank in 2018. They will join the current 25 Australian hotels operating under the InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn flags.
