Hyatt Place Debuts In Southeast Asia

Hyatt Place, the select-service brand offering from Hyatt Hotels Corporation, marked its debut in Thailand and Southeast Asia with the opening of a new property in Phuket.

The 161-room Hyatt Place Phuket Patong occupies prime real estate in the heart of Phuket’s main tourism district. Located on the north end of Patong Beach, the hotel is a 50-minute drive from the international airport and within walking distance of the street markets and nightlife of Soi Bangla.

Guestrooms at the hotel are sited on a hillside (with most facing west), allowing for panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and spectacular sunsets. In line with the Hyatt Place brand ethos, the hotel offers a range of guest-friendly amenities, including “cozy corner” sleeping areas for a third guest, satellite television programming, complimentary Wi-Fi, breakfast, coffee-/tea-making facilities and “Odds & Ends” items for purchase or loan.

The Gallery Kitchen serves plenty of choices for all-day dining, with hot breakfast items, local and global options available to guests. As its name suggests, the Coffee to Cocktails Bar offers a menu of specialty coffees, teas and alcoholic beverages.

Flexible event spaces cater to corporate groups and wedding parties. All guests also enjoy usage of the 24-hour StayFit gymnasium and an infinity-edged outdoor pool.

Hyatt Place Phuket Patong becomes Hyatt’s fourth hotel in Thailand, after the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Hyatt Regency Hua Hin and Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort. The company has another 3 hotels under development in the country, including a second Hyatt Place in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit district.
