Delta Unveils New Business Class Suite

Delta Airlines has unveiled the new Delta One Suite, its next-generation business class seat set to debut in 2017.

Designed with an emphasis on enhanced comfort and privacy over competing products, the suite promises every passenger a private space accessed by a full-height sliding door (the first business class product to offer the feature), with the center suites in the 1-2-1 configured cabin also having a sliding privacy divider. In addition to the full-flat bed and direct aisle access standard for Delta One since 2008, the suites boast a contemporary design with premium trim and finishes coupled with a memory foam-enhanced cushion and adjustable ambient lighting to create a comfortable, residential feel.

Delta is also incorporating an advanced inflight entertainment system to match the new product, featuring an 18-inch high-resolution personal monitor, the largest amongst US carriers. Every seat also has its own power outlet and USB port, with thoughtfully-designed personal stowage areas for laptops, headphones and shoes.

The Delta One suite will debut on Delta’s first Airbus A350, due to enter service in fall 2017. Delta Airlines has 25 of the advanced jets on-order, which will primarily be used on the airline’s US – Asia routes. The Skyteam member is also planning to refit its Boeing 777s, currently it’s long-haul workhorse, with the new product.
