Singapore Airlines To Launch Flights To Stockholm

Singapore Airlines has announced plans to launch a new Stockholm service next year, marking its debut in Sweden. Beginning 30 May 2017, the Star Alliance member will fly the route 5 times weekly, which will be operated via Moscow (Domodedovo) and codeshared with partner SAS Scandinavian Airlines.

Flight SQ 362 will depart Singapore at 0020 hrs every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, arriving in the Russian capital at 0600 hrs before continuing at 0715 hrs to Stockholm (Arlanda), where it arrives at 0825 hrs. The return flight, SQ 361, is wheels up from the Swedish city at 1015 hrs and touches down at Moscow (Domodedovo) at 1330 hrs, taking off again at 1500 hrs for an early morning arrival back in Singapore at 0615 hrs the next day.

Singapore Airlines will roster its new 3-class Airbus A350-900 aircraft for the service, representing a hard-product upgrade for its Moscow flights. The airline will also have fifth-freedom traffic rights between Sweden and Russia, bringing competition and greater choice for consumers intra-Europe with one of the industry’s newest long-haul seats and service.

Stockholm will become the airline’s second Scandinavian destination after Copenhagen, providing better access to northern Europe from Asia and Oceania.
