Now Open: W Goa

W Hotels Worldwide has entered India with the opening of the new W Goa, its first property in the subcontinent.

Accessible via an easy drive from Vasco Da Gama railway station and Dabolim International Airport, the resort is spread over 25 acres and overlooks Vagator Beach. Its secluded coastal location was once a hippie enclave and the neighbourhood today features hip cafes, stylish boutiques and lively nightclubs alongside Hindu temples and flea markets.

160 guestrooms, suites and villas are boldly decorated in the brand’s eclectic style. Gorgeous views of the sea and Chapora Fort await guests from their spacious balcony or terrace, with each accommodation also featuring the W signature bed, a spa-inspired bathroom with rainforest shower and Bliss amenities, state-of-the-art in-room technology and entertainment, as well as the ubiquitous Munchie Box and coffee maker.

Dining options include the all-day dining The Kitchen Table and the pan-Asian Spice Traders restaurant with panoramic views of the sea. Carved into a rocky mountain under the Chapora Fort, the Rock Pool serves sizzling meats and tantalising Indian cuisine from a wood-fired grill and the beachfront Woo Bar is the social and party hub of the resort with its expertly-mixed cocktails and DJ-spun beats.

675 square meters of flexible event space, including a lush outdoor garden for outdoor parties and wedding receptions, are available to guests and supported by the WIRED business centre. Recreation facilities include the WET outdoor pool, FIT gymnasium and India’s first Spa by Clarins.

W Goa becomes the latest addition to the combined Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts portfolio in India. The brand is poised to triple its presence in the country, with W Delhi NCR and W Mumbai to follow in the next 3 years.
