Taipei Gets Second Aloft Hotel

Marriott International has opened Taipei’s second design-led Aloft hotel. The century-old hot spring destination of Beitou hosts the new Aloft Taipei Beitou Hotel, which brings its tech-forward, vibrant and modern style to the suburb town.

The 292-room hotel is just steps from a multitude of hot springs and a quick 5-minute stroll to 2 Metro stations for easy access to Taipei’s downtown area and attractions. Inspired by the brand’s passion for music and technology together with the natural landscape of Beitou, the interior decor showcases work from local artists. The loft-style guest rooms and suites feature signature offerings, such as the plush Aloft bed, a walk-in shower with amenities from Bliss Spa, 43-inch LCD television and complimentary high-speed internet, while also supporting SPG Keyless where guests can utilize their mobile phones as room keys.

Dining and social spaces include Nook, Aloft Taipei Beitou’s signature restaurant serving international buffet-style and a la carte dishes (as well as a special menu and terrace for pets). The 24/7 grab-and-go venue, Re:fuel by Aloft, offers light meals, mix-and-match munchies, healthy bites and beverages. By nightfall, the social scene comes alive at the Re:mix Lounge on the ground floor with its LED wall and 6-meter high ceiling covered with a butterfly wing-styles wooden panel light, while the W:XYZ Bar showcases live acoustic performances from up-and-coming artists under the iconic “Live at Aloft Hotels” series.

Spread over 176 square meters, a trio of colourful Tactic meeting spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and fast Wi-Fi. Guests can further socialize over a game of pool or get a good workout at the Re:charge gymnasium.

Aloft Taipei Beitou becomes the ninth property in Taipei under the combined Marriott and Starwood portfolio. The brand continues its growth in Taiwan with hotels under development in Hualien, Kinmen and Taichung set to open by 2022.
