World’s First Iron Man Experience Opens In Hong Kong Disneyland

The world’s first Iron Man Experience is now open in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Hong Kong Chief Executive the Honourable C.Y. Leung and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek joined Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Joe Quesada, members of the media and invited guests at the festivities, which sees the park’s latest attraction recreate the Stark Expo in the Tomorrowland area.

The innovations from Stark Industries are extensively displayed in four exhibition halls – the Hall of Legacy, the Hall of Protection, the Hall of Energy and the Hall of Mobility, with J.A.R.V.I.S. taking guests through the impressive range of exhibits. These include Captain America’s prototype shield to the Iron Man Mark III suit, the first miniaturized Arc Reactor, the unbreakable Stark Everglass, the MyJARVIS intelligent home system, StarkVision glasses and a collection of Iron Wings designed for different functions.

Guests will then board the 45-passenger Expo Edition Iron Wing Mark VIII for a 3D flight over the Hong Kong and its skyline, a first for Disney. Speeding through the city alongside Iron Man whilst battling the enemy forces from Hydra, guests will recognize landmarks such as the Tsing Ma Bridge, Victoria Harbour and the city’s mountain ranges from the Arc Reactor-powered Hong Kong Stark Tower. Iron Man appears to interact with guests at the Iron Man Tech Showcase presented by Stark Industries against the backdrop of his many prototype armor suits.

Complementing the Iron Man Experience is a range of themed merchandise at the new Expo Shop, where guests can also try on the Iron Man suit virtually. Hong Kong Disneyland’s hotels and restaurants will also offer themed accommodation set-ups and more than 25 special food and beverages items, including an “Iron Man Waffle” and the “Hero Burger”.
