IHG Enters Laos With Crowne Plaza Vientiane

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened the new Crowne Plaza Vientiane in Laos, marking its entry into the Southeast Asian country.

Nestled in the heart of the Laotian capital along Samsenthai Road, the 197-room hotel is a short 10-minute drive from Wattay International Airport and a convenient base from where to conduct business or explore. The historical King Fa Ngum statue is directly opposite the hotel while vibrant local markets and cultural attractions, such as the colonial-style Lao National Museum and Wat Si Muang, are easily accessible.

Crowne Plaza Vientiane is the city’s first internationally branded upscale hotel and features guestrooms and suites tastefully decorated with traditional Lao design elements. Every accommodation is well-appointed with modern amenities including comfortable bedding, a marble bathroom, flatscreen television with cable programming, complimentary Wi-Fi, workdesk, minibar and coffee-/tea-making facilities.

Dining options comprise the market-style restaurant, Mosaic, as well as the Indochine 3 Merchants, serving a mix of Lao, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. The relaxed vibe at the Elephant Lounge makes it an ideal spot to unwind over wine or cocktails after a day out, while the al fresco setting of the outdoor beer garden offers a casual communal space.

Crowne Plaza’s signature meetings programme comes to life with a dedicated Crowne Meetings team on-site to manage events at its state-of-the-art facilities, including a ballroom and 6 smaller meeting rooms. Complementing these are an outdoor infinity pool, a 24-hour fitness centre and the restorative Senses Spa with its menu of rejuvenating treatments.
