Tribute Portfolio Makes Chinese Debut

Marriott International has launched the first Tribute Portfolio hotel in China.

Following a multi-million dollar renovation, The Yuluxe Sheshan joins the collection’s 19 hotels around the world to spearhead its expansion in the Far East. Located a short drive from Shanghai offering a idyllic escape from the urban pave of life, the 325-room hotel is surrounded by breathtaking natural lakes, forests and parks amidst one of China’s burgeoning eco-tourism destinations.

Breathtaking views of Sheshan or the Moon Lake can be had from the accommodations. Reflecting the independent spirit of Shanghai through dynamic design and thoughtful amenities, each guestroom and suite is exquisitely furnished with hardwood flooring, luxury bedding, spacious bathroom with separate rainforest shower and bathtub, flatscreen television and Wi-Fi.

Headlining the gourmet dining experiences at The Yuluxe Sheshan is the Yu Palace, serving innovative and creative Cantonese, Hang and local cuisines with 11 private rooms. Le Café offers a wide range of Continental and Asian fare, while the Skyline Lobby Lounge provides a casual, relaxed atmosphere and the Shandy Bar features a unique circular bar for guests seeking a lively nightcap.

In addition to the spectacular nature surrounding them, guests can enjoy a full suite of upgraded hotel facilities. These include a modern gymnasium, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and beauty salon, a new 700-square meter kids’ playground, a karaoke room and a billiards room.

With 19 hotels in operation worldwide, Tribute Portfolio continues its steady expansion with a further 14 properties in the pipeline. In Asia, the brand currently enjoys a presence in Indonesia, Japan and Singapore with dynamic properties The Hermitage Jakarta, Sthala Ubud Bali, The Kiroro and Hotel Vagabond.
